In my last Holosync update, I mentioned “The Sedona Method”. I have received some feedback asking for more details about that program.
The Sedona Method is a program that I use to compliment Holosync. Holosync is an ongoing, long term improvement program. You listen to the CD once a day (sometimes twice a the most). You get great results, but realistically you are going to have bad moments/days. That is where the Sedona Method comes in (for me).
I have actually used The Sedona Method longer. It is a powerful program all by itself, so I do not mean to take anything away from it when I say I use it as a “compliment”. I find that its real strength is that you can use it anywhere, anytime, in any situation.
The Sedona Method goes to work on our emotions. Most people are essentially slaves to their emotions. They act based on them, they make decisions based on them, their health is ruled by them. People even define themselves based on these emotions; it is noted in the course that this is even built into the language when we say “I am angry, I am sad, etc.
Described in just a few words, the Sedona Method is about “letting go”. It is about realizing that we are not our feelings, that they are just reactions built into our systems. They only have as much power as we give them. We control them, not the other way around. We can choose to let them go, keeping only those that empower us.
These techniques are done with words and thoughts. They do not require any special equipment. They only take a few moments, so they can be done anytime you feel you need them (at work, at home, in the car, etc.). It is also a very flexible program. You see better results when you use it often and consistently, but you can also get outstanding results by only applying it when you are feeling overwhelmed.
Because of the simplicity and flexibility of the program, it is very easy to integrate with other programs. I use it while listening to the holosync CDs, and whenever I just feel bad throughout the day. It also fits well into any other meditation program.
The Sedona Method is taught (primarily) through an audio program. Sedona Training Associates does offer a wonderful DVD that gives you a taste of the basic method, as well as some of the basic lessons in an MP3/CD form. When I first started using the program, I had immediate results using these lessons.
